Sustainable Process Improvement is a fully funded programme of support for small and medium sized businesses that want to reduce their costs, stay competitive, and meet current environmental legislation such as the new Scottish waste regulation.

Delivered by the Crichton Carbon Centre, the Sustainable Process Improvement programme will work businesses to review their operations, identifying opportunities for implementing or improving resource efficiency business practice.

New Funding Stream for Energy Efficiency Upgrades

close up of woman hand holding light bulbA new governmental funding stream called the Energy Demand Reduction (EDR) Pilot has been launched by the UK government.  The funding is for organisations who can demonstrate they will reduce their electricity demand at peak times through projects such as installation of LED lighting or more efficient air conditioning.  The funding is awarded through an auction where organisations bid for the highest energy savings, in kWh.  The money is awarded once the measures have been implemented and the savings demonstrated.
